The Kimberley Strategic Regional Advisory Council met in Kununurra in June to discuss the progress of regional services reform and upcoming priorities.
The meeting was attended by Child Protection Minister Andrea Mitchell, who is one of the reform’s lead Ministers, and included a tour of Kununurra and Welcome to Country by Waringarri Aboriginal Arts.
Strategic Regional Advisory Councils in the Pilbara and Kimberley were established to advise the State Government on the direction for the reform.
The meeting was followed by a community dinner which gave local Aboriginal community representatives an opportunity to hear more about regional services reform and the work of the Regional Services Reform Unit.
